Camp FAQ

What is included in each camp session?

Each camp session includes rental robes, camp activities, and a house patch.

What makes your camp the right choice for my child?

Here at Wizarding Ways we believe in children realizing the magic within themselves. Our camp is filled with exhilarating activities to optimize creativity, learning, exploring and most of all developing long lasting friendships.

Where do I drop off my child for camp?

Please drop your child off at the registration table at the front of the elementary school to sign in on the first day. We will have our camp sessions in the multi-purpose room.

What should my child wear/bring with them to Summer Day Camps?

Clothing that is athletic and comfortable is highly recommended. Our camp is very active and full of many activities. School robes are provided at the camp.

What are your cancellation, transfer, substitution, and refund policies?

Once a payment is made, we cannot process any refunds or cancellations. We can, however, substitute your camp payment toward a family friend or neighbor to enjoy the camp session in place of your child.

How do I register?

Please click on the top right corner of the page that says "Register" or click on the events section on the home page. 

When does registration close?

Here are the different registration options:

1. Pre-Order Registration: Ends January 31st

2. Early Bird Registrations: Ends March 20th

3. Regular registration must be completed the Friday before a camp session starts.

 

Example: Camp Session #1 starts Monday, June 15th, 2020. The registration must be completed on Friday, June 12th, 2020.

How much does Wizarding Ways Summer Camp cost?

Depending on when you register will dictate the price of the camp. Below is the breakdown:

$225 Pre-Order Registration: Ends January 31st (pre-order includes our extended stay package, a $100 value of 2 extra free hours Monday-Thursday of the camp session.)

Our regular camp session is 9am-12pm. The extended stay package session is from 9am-2pm, allowing your young wizard more time to experience the magic at Wizarding Ways.

  

$225 Early Bird Registrations: Ends March 20th

$275 Regular Registration: begins March 21st

$100 extended stay package: adds 2 extra hours of camp Monday-Thursday, each day toward your camp session (this is included in the pre-order registration)

Is lunch provided?

Please provide a sack lunch for your child, especially if they are staying until 2pm. We will have water and occasional snacks to provide for the children.

What kinds of activities will my child participate in?

Here at Wizarding Ways, we never stop! We have so much to teach and explore such as potions class, wizard's chess, magical creatures, wizarding arts, wizarding sports, and so much more.

How can I continue to build on what my child is learning in camp?

On the last day of camp, we will send your child home with a packet that will give some guidance on how to build on what your young wizard learned at camp.

Do you give out robes every camp session or do you just have the kids wear them at the camp?

The robes are rented out during the camp session and worn just at camp.

How many staff members and employees are supervising the camp sessions?

We will have 10 background checked  employees that will go through a selective process, including background checks, to ensure that they meet the quality standards of Wizarding Ways in taking excellent care of your child and their growth. 

Do you have discounts available for early registration? If so, what are the discounts?

Yes we do!

We will also be sending out coupon codes periodically, so like and subscribe to our social media and mailing lists.

Do your employees go through background checks?

YES! Your child's safety is our number one concern. We go through a rigorous back ground process checking:

  • SSN Trace + Associated Counties

  • National Criminal Databases Search**

  • Sex Offender List Search

We want to make sure each professor or camp employee goes through a back ground check to ensure that your children are in safe hands. 

Do you offer discounts for multiple kids signing up?

We do not offer discounts for multiple kids singing up, but we do have a referral program.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! For every referral that completes registration, you get $25 off your camp registration. If you have already paid your camp session, we will process a refund for each referral.

What if my kids can't attend the full length of the camp, do you prorate the cost of what they attend?

Once a payment is made, we cannot process any refunds, prorations, or cancellations. We can, however, substitute your camp payment toward a family member, friend, or neighbor to enjoy the camp session in place of your child.

How do you handle food allergies?

In the registration form, we ask you to provide detailed information about any food allergies. We do not provide food to the children to prevent medical issues. From time to time we will provide small snacks.
